Following the hugely successful British & Irish Lions Tour in June and an England Ashes win last month in the UK, fans are looking forward to travelling to Australia.

Tourism Australia has partnered with British newspaper The Times to create a series of six editorial features, promoting the Commonwealth Bank Ashes Series to be held in Australia in November and December 2013.

Tour operators and airlines are reporting good forward bookings for the series.Highlighting a different Test match city each week, as well as the inaugural Alice Springs Chairman's XI match, the features have appeared in the sports section each Saturday throughout August and September. Times sports writer Mark Baldwin has written the editorial which includes a mix of cricket and destination messaging.

The features also include a 'Bowled Over' section with local restaurant tips from cricket personalities and a sponsored side-bar detailing what to do between matches.

Following the hugely successful British & Irish Lions Tour in June and an England Ashes win last month in the UK, fans are looking forward to travelling to Australia at the end of the year for another sporting spectacle.
